Snow Miku 2020 Ver.
This was one of the first private photo shoots I accomplished. It was also one of the first cosplays that my friend here has taken part in so we had a fun time learning the extent of what it means for the photographer to capture the moment and for the model to make poses.
New Years Shrine Visit
This shoot was done just days before the New Years due to conflicting schedules but had a burning desire to be completed so they can be posted on New Years Day. It wasn’t feasible to complete in the morning to have an actual sunrise so we opted to use a sunset to give the same effect. The end result gave a nice effect as if we were out to visit a Japanese shrine right as the sun rises for the first time of the year.
Wandering Swordswoman
This shoot had a crunch for time in its own mean. Due to a conflicting shoot that ran too long earlier in the day, I arrived late to do this shoot and almost ran out of sunlight. With that, I pushed the settings of my camera to their upper potential (higher ISO and widest aperture) and was still able to get a few good shots in. I also had the opportunity to experiment with blurred objects in the foreground as with the wheat seen at camera level.
Beastar’s Forbidden Love
The two that are here are an actual couple and are portraying the forbidden love in the series, Beastars. It was a really good experience to try and capture the emotional response between two species that were just never meant to be.
A Girl who Wants to be Saved
The nature of this cosplay is that it’s based off a character with a very gritty history and broken mind. Using an existing cave area and limited light, I tried to recreate the same grittiness that came from the source material.
Candid Selfie Moment
I’m really proud of taking this photo because it was an entirely candid spur of the moment. I just had my camera in the right place at the right time and I was able to capture some amazing energy from someone who did not expect their selfie to be an addition to a photo shoot.
Cosplay Casual Vibe
Not all cosplay has to be an elaborate outfit. Sometimes, it’s refreshing to see a character in casual, modern-day clothing.
